About Daz - MD of Dazbus and principal minibus chauffeur

Travel is my passion. I love to learn about people, places and cultures. After leaving Nottingham University, where I studied German, I began to feed my passion, travelling first to Europe and living for a year in Hamburg, so that I could absorb the true feeling of the country. After Europe, I travelled to Australia where I lived for nearly a year in the vibrant cities of Sydney and Melbourne. Australia was an amazing experience, and the country is so vast that I intend to return one day and continue my explorations. By this time, the bug had well and truly bitten me, and over the next eighteen months I visited Canada, North America, Fiji, Thailand, Nepal and Malaysia.

When I returned to the UK I began working as an outdoor activity instructor in North Wales. Although I loved the job, working with kids and being physically active all day long against the backdrop of the dramatic Welsh countryside, there were still a lot of places that I wanted to see, so when the opportunity came up to work as a tour leader for the travel company Explore, I jumped at it. Over the next two years I travelled to Greece, Egypt, Morocco, Jordan, Sweden and Lapland.

In 2004 I returned to England and began a series of micro-travels, working as a postman. This gave me the chance to clarify my ideas for a job that would satisfy my passion for travel, my love of sharing that passion with others and my desire to have my own business.

In 2005, I set up Dazbus chauffeured minibus hire just outside Oxford in Oxfordshire, a beautiful county located perfectly for travel to some of the most stunning places in the south of England. My vision for the company is to provide the best minibus chauffeur service in Oxford and beyond, so that every Dazbus customer can have a taste of the wonderful world of travel.
